Cleaning Diesel Particulate Filters

SAVE MONEY, CLEAN YOUR FILTER.

Wedige offers Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) cleaning for your diesel truck engine.

When your heavy-duty engine hits 200,000 to 300,000 miles or 4,500 hours, it’s the recommended time to clean (d-ash) your Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). This process is required to remove unburned lube oil or ash that has accumulated in the DPF. The material that is removed from the DPF during cleaning is considered hazardous waste and therefore it must be handled and disposed of in a safe and controlled environment. Wedige has the machinery and processes in place to clean your filter and safely dispose of the ash.

DPF Cleaning helps:
  • Reduce unscheduled downtime
  • Identify potential filter deficiencies
  • Increase service life
  • Result in longer filter life

Wedige's trained technicians will visually inspect your filter for any obvious defects or damage. We then weigh your filter for starting weight. Next we flow test the filter to measure flow restriction. The filter is then cleaned internally and externally then placed in our state-of-the-art ovens for baking. Once the filters are removed from the ovens the filters are cleaned a second time and then flow tested. If the filters flow is acceptable, it is weighed a second time to determine the amount of ash that was removed from the filter.

You'll be impressed by our finish product.
